The basics
What SEO is, and what it can do for you
Search engine optimisation, or SEO, is the work of making a website easier for search engines to read, and more useful for the people who land on it. Done well, it brings visitors who were already looking for you, without a cost per click.
SEO is not a trick and it is not a one-off job. Google changes, competitors publish, and your own business moves on. The sites that hold their positions are the ones that are technically sound, answer real questions and are clearly run by people who know their subject.
| Part | What it covers | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Technical SEO | Crawling, indexing, speed, mobile usability and structured data | Making sure search engines can read every important page. |
| On-page and content | Titles, headings, copy and internal links | Matching each page to the searches it should answer. |
| Local SEO | Google Business Profile, reviews and local pages | Appearing in Maps and “near me” searches. |
| Off-page SEO | Links and mentions from other websites | Building the authority that competitive searches need. |
How Google decides
How a page gets ranked
Before a page can rank, it has to be found, read and trusted. Most SEO problems sit in one of these five stages.
- 01
Crawling
Google’s crawler follows links to discover your pages. Pages it cannot reach do not exist for search.
- 02
Indexing
Google reads each page and stores it. Thin, duplicate or blocked pages are often left out.
- 03
Relevance
For each search, Google looks for the pages that best match what the person means, not only the words they typed.
- 04
Quality and trust
Google’s guidelines describe experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trust (E-E-A-T): who is behind the content, and why they should be believed.
- 05
Page experience
Whether the page loads fast, stays stable while loading and works well on a phone. Google measures this with the Core Web Vitals.
The service
What our SEO service includes
Everything from the first scan to the report.
SEO audit
A full review of how search engines read your site: crawling, indexing, speed, structure, content and links. You get a prioritised list, not a 90-page PDF.
Keyword research
The searches your customers actually make, grouped by intent and matched to the page that should answer each one.
Technical SEO
Site speed, mobile usability, Core Web Vitals, redirects, sitemaps, canonical tags and structured data, fixed by our own developer.
Content
New and improved pages and articles, written for the reader first and structured so search engines understand them.
Local SEO
Google Business Profile, local landing pages, consistent business details and reviews, so you appear in Maps and “near me” searches.
Link building
Earning links and mentions from relevant, trustworthy websites. No bought link packages.
Our approach
How an SEO project runs, in six steps
Foundations before content, content before links. Skipping ahead wastes the work that follows.
Scan and analyse
We audit the site, your rankings and your competitors, and find where the opportunities are.
Map the keywords
Every important search is assigned to one page, so your pages stop competing with each other.
Fix the foundations
We fix what stops search engines from crawling, indexing and trusting the site.
Create content
We improve existing pages and publish new ones for the searches you are missing.
Build authority
We complete local listings and earn links and mentions from relevant sites.
Monitor and report
We track rankings, clicks and conversions, report what changed and adjust the plan.
On-page SEO
Six things on a page that matter
You will see these in every audit. None of them is complicated; the work is doing them well on every page.
Title tag
The headline of your result in Google. One clear topic per page, with the main search term near the start.
Meta description
The summary under the title. It does not affect ranking directly, but a good one earns more clicks.
Headings
One H1 that names the page, and H2s that break the content into the questions people ask.
Internal links
Links between your own pages. They tell search engines which pages matter and help visitors find the next step.
Structured data
Code that describes the page to search engines: business details, services, FAQs, articles. It can earn richer results.
Images
Descriptive file names and alt text, and files small enough to load fast on a phone.
Local knowledge
SEO in Dubai and the UAE
The rules of search are the same everywhere. The searches, the languages and the competition are not.
Two languages
People in the UAE search in English and in Arabic. Each language needs its own properly written pages, not an automatic translation, and the right technical signals so Google shows the right version.
Local search and Maps
Searches such as “dentist near me” or “restaurant Dubai Marina” are answered with a map. A complete Google Business Profile, reviews and consistent details decide who appears there.
A crowded market
In sectors such as real estate, clinics and hospitality, many businesses compete for the same searches. Specific pages for specific areas and services win where general pages do not.
Phones first
Most searches here happen on a phone, and Google judges your site by its mobile version. Speed and usability on mobile come first.
Expectations
What to expect, and when
SEO is slower than advertising and lasts longer. These are typical stages, not promises: nobody can guarantee a ranking, and Google says so itself.
| Period | What we do | What you typically see |
|---|---|---|
| Month 1 | Audit, keyword map and tracking. The most urgent technical fixes. | A clear plan and a baseline to measure against. |
| Months 2 to 3 | Technical fixes go live. Existing pages are improved and the first new content is published. | More pages indexed, and first movement for less competitive searches. |
| Months 4 to 6 | Regular new content, local listings and the first earned links. | Growing impressions and clicks, and rankings for more searches. |
| Months 6 to 12 | Building authority, expanding what works and refreshing older pages. | Progress on competitive searches, and organic leads becoming a steady channel. |
We teamed up with Social Sparrow for social media content and SEO, and the results have been fantastic. We’ve seen real progress, and we’re excited to keep going!
Budget
What SEO costs
An SEO project has three costs, and you should see each one separately.
Audit and set-up
A one-off cost at the start: the audit, the keyword map and tracking.
Monthly work
Technical fixes, content, local SEO, link building and reporting, agreed as a monthly scope.
Content and development
Larger jobs such as new page templates, a redesign or a batch of articles, quoted separately.
We do not publish a price list, because the work depends on the state of your site and the competition for your searches. Start with the free SEO audit, and we will tell you what is worth doing first.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about SEO
Twelve questions we hear before almost every project.
How long does SEO take to work?
Technical fixes can show an effect within weeks. Rankings for competitive searches usually take several months of steady work, because Google needs time to crawl, assess and trust the changes. We agree realistic milestones at the start.
How much does SEO cost in Dubai?
It depends on the size of your site, its current state and how competitive your searches are. Most projects have a one-off audit and set-up, followed by a monthly scope of work. We quote after the audit, when we know what is needed.
Can you guarantee a number one ranking on Google?
No, and nobody honestly can. Google itself warns against agencies that guarantee rankings. What we can promise is the work: a sound site, useful content and transparent reporting.
What is the difference between SEO and Google Ads?
Google Ads buys a sponsored position and you pay for each click. SEO earns a position in the organic results, which takes longer and does not cost per click. Many businesses use ads for speed and SEO for the long term. Search engine advertising.
What is local SEO, and do I need it?
Local SEO is about appearing in Google Maps and in searches with a place or “near me” in them. If customers visit you or you serve a specific area, it is usually the fastest SEO win.
Do I need SEO in Arabic as well as English?
If part of your audience searches in Arabic, yes. Arabic pages should be written by a native speaker for how people actually search, not translated word for word.
What does the free SEO audit include?
A first look at how well search engines can read your site, where you rank today and where the biggest opportunities are. The full audit at the start of a project goes deeper into every page. Request your free SEO audit.
Will I need a new website?
Usually not. Most sites can be improved step by step. If the platform itself holds results back, for example through slow loading or poor mobile usability, we will say so and explain the options. Web development.
Do you write the content?
Yes. Content is part of the work: we research the topic, write the page or article and send it to you for approval before it is published.
How do you report results?
With data from Google Search Console and Google Analytics: impressions, clicks, average position and the leads or sales that came from organic search, with a plain explanation of what changed and why.
Is SEO still worth it now that Google shows AI answers?
Yes. AI answers in search are built from the same web pages that rank well, so clear structure, accurate information and visible expertise matter more, not less. Generative engine optimization.
What happens if we stop doing SEO?
Rankings do not disappear overnight, but they erode as competitors keep publishing and Google keeps changing. The technical work and the content remain yours.
